The Office of Campus Planning, Design, and Construction manages the space programming, planning, design, preparation of construction and contract documents, and construction administration for the major maintenance, alterations, and new construction for all University facilities and building systems. The office is also responsible for the Capital Project Planning process, the Capital Projects Fund, and liaison with governmental and land development agencies.
The office also provides ongoing technical support to the Physical Plant Department on routine and preventive work, site work, and utilities and to the Chilled Water Plant and the Steam Station on distribution systems. The office is also responsible for compliance with building code and accessibility mandates in the construction and maintenance of facilities. and works in cooperation and support of the EHO and Safety Division for compliance with environmental quality, life safety, and hazardous materials issues and programs.
